Is there supposed to be a filter behind the frame of a pad30c1awt dehumidifier. Nothing was ever behind my frame from new.

THIS particular air filter and frame - there should be nylon on the backside of the frame - this acts as an air filter. if you zoom in on your picture - you may be able to see the nylon!
