QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
the filter on our model #DLG3171W is catching clothing and ruining some items by twisting into a big ball when drying. Do I need to replace anything else besides the lint filter?
Perhaps. we will type out some stuff - but it may be easier to call us and simply ask for michael - (720) 379-8578. LG redesigned your lint filter area - when they did, the designed a new lint filter and are requiring people to purchase a few different parts - click HERE for the bundle - your model number will NOT appear but these are all the right parts. okay, your next question about the snagging of cloths - in towards the inner part of the dryer, there is a plastic grill or screen - is this damaged? this does a great job snagging cloths when it is damaged - if it is damaged, click HERE for the replacement part. please know that none of these parts come with installation instructions - be sure to save the old screws when removing the old parts. call us if you have questions about anything in this communication.

I received my replacement part and it is much larger than the original and does not fit my DLX2802L. The slip says "substituted part"
LG has made a mess out of their lint filter assembly for many models which includes the DLGX2802L. The lint filter area has been redesigned three different times. If I may, let's get this answered with Two basic questions.
1 Are you replacing your filter because the filter sticks up 3/4 of an inch or so?
2 Click HERE for a picture - does the filter you have look like the one with a black background?
