I need a Yamaha FM antenna for my 1999 GX-500 Yamaha compact stereo. It has a round 75 ohm male connector with no threads on the stereo. The antenna for the GX-505 stereo does not fit -- that one has a rectangular connector. A PAL female adapter I tried did not fit either.
we were able to locate the GX-500 technical bulletins and user manual. we were able to pull the antenna information. admittedly, we find this antenna puzzling. so we also pulled an exert from the user manual on how to install. if you click HERE - this is the indoor FM antenna that yamaha recommends. second image has the instructions that we were able to pull.
