The original setup on my DLG3401W has an internal hinged “door”. Does this unit come with that piece with the hinged door.
short answer - No. Long answer, when you pull out your original lint filter cover, would will notice that the original has some extra parts that are snapped onto the original. you will want to unsnap these and put them on your new lint filter cover. one of those pieces is the hinged door. let us know if this does not make sense.

my LG unit is a DLEX4270V. I need the lint filter and cover because it is broken and it's distroying clothing
sounds like it may be sticking up about an inch or so - the lint filter area was redesigned a couple of times - the most recent redesign fixed the 1 inch issue. click HERE for the fix!
