epson xp-7100 model # C491W inkpad at end of life. do you have replacement?

Next, you will also need a reset utility. the following is a link provided by epson to reset your printer. this reduces the page count by 30% - 40% - only works on windows based computers - and the printer needs to be physically connected to the printer. the good news is that this link is FREE. https://epson.com/Support/wa00819 -
Where can I get installation instructions for the ink pad replacement for an XP-7100 Epson printer?
hi ron! we do not have instructions - nor do instructions come with the part. but know that I have had people 85 years old call - express a little concern - and call me back cheerfully reporting tht they did it! if you feel like this will put you over your heads - I would take your printer to a service center.
this part is on the bottom of the printer - right hand side towards the front. scews come out, the old part pops right off. look for a small hose just inside of the cavity - if there is, position it towards the cener of the assembly. pop the new one in. screws put back in. run the following link on a windows based PC that is physically connected to your printer. https://epson.com/Support/wa00819 -

Earlier I queried as to hooking up the printer to the computer to install the Maintenance Reset Utility after replacing the waste ink receptical thinking this would reset the counter so the printer could continue working like new. Further reading told me I was completely wrong. If I have read correctly it seems that either the printer can not be reset to continue using it like new or there is a completely different program required to do this. So is the Maintenance Reset Utility all there is? I like my printer and was hoping I could replace the waste ink receptical and "rejuvinate" the printer for hopefully years more use. My printer is several years old and I intend to replace the waste ink receptical myself and have no intention of shipping my printer out to an Epson facility. I am competent enough to accomplish the replacement of the waste ink receptical but was under the impression once that replacement had been accomplished I would be able to continue using the printer much longer than for just a short time. Am I missing something?
okay, please allow us to simplify this for you. Please pardon the brevity.
Epson has a FREE reset program that only works with Windows based computers. This reset program is considered temporary as it only reduces the page count by 30% - 40%. When using this program, be sure that your computer is connected using a USB Cable as a wifi connection errors out. Be sure your printer is on.
Next, HERE is the reset program. when go to this link, scroll down the page - input your person information - when you click submit - the software will down load t your downloads subdirectory. super easy.
When you double click on the downloaded programs, prompts will guide you through the reset. just follow the prompts.
We suggest doing the above first. It will clear the errors - from there, you can go through swapping out the pads. Most people get hung up on the technology side - the physical side of replacing the part tends to be easier for people.
If the above does NOT clear the error, reply back, we can help you through the plan B. If you have an Apple computer, we can provide basic guidance.
Why is a reset required? Some Waste Ink Assemblies require a chip. Others don't. The chipped assemblies do NOT require the reset. The chipped assemblies are for certain printer models.
