Yes, you will need to do a reset. The epson reset utility is pretty self explanitory as prompts guide you through it asking easy to answer questions. since it is a epson link, it is safe.
areas where people get hung up - this link only works on windows based computers. the computer should be on. the printer should be connected to the computer using a usb - wifi errors out. when you click the link, it will ask you for basic information. when you click submit, it downloads an executable to your downloads subdirectory. when you open the executable - prompts guide you through the rest of the process. click HERE for the link.
