The cost of the plate is $139.99.
Why so expensive - it is only a glass plate! We agree - Kenmore takes other manufacturers parts and adopts them as their own. For microwave, we see Kenmore using a lot of Electrolux and LG parts. In the case of 79080353310, kenmore used Electrolux - Electrolux plates tend to twice the cost of other brands. Timing into our facility is about 4 business days.
Next, it there a substitute that can be used? We only stock OEM or branded parts. We do NOT sell any generics. In looking at the plate support mechanism for your mircrowave plate (see the above diagram) - I would not even venture a guess at what plate that you would want to try using as a subtitute.
