Our Sony remote Model # RMF-TX500U came with our Model XBR-43X800H Sony TV. The remote seems to be worn out now, as the channel select buttons don't work at all. Do you recommend to replace our old remote with your new one? And do you provide instructions on how to activate the new remote?
yes on replacing. there very few services that repair remotes. the cost of the new remote - simply easier to buy new. the remote that you are considering is genuine sony remote. so there is no programming. simply install batteries (not included). it will automatically sync. there is no programming.
