thank you for reaching out to us - so this particular remote was discontinued a couple of months ago. the following link will not have your model - but this is what sony is saying is the sony substitute. there is no programming, simply install batteries. we acknowledge that there are some differences between the original remote and the remote in the following offering.

Looking for an replacement remote for my Sony XBR-65X900B TV, would this remote work for my unit? If not would you know witch OEM remote I would need to purchase for my TV.
so your TV has quite a history with remote. Sony had two different types of remotes for your TV. the first one was more of a traditional remote - like what you selected - and discontinued it. the second was a remote that looked like it came out of star trek - after having 4 or 5 different generations of the star trek remote - they finally discontinued it - which was a good thing. the remote that you selected is what we would recommend. any issues with it, just give us a call.
