what is the function of an IR Blaster?
An IR Blaster "imitates the functionality of an infrared remote control. It accepts commands (e.g. Volume Up or Change Channel) from your remote and tells the IR device you want to control what to do." So lets say that I have a TV - and I want the sound bar in front of the TV. But the sound bar covers the IR sensor on your TV - you can use the IR blaster - by plugging it into the back of your TV - in the IR Port - and mount the heads on the TV - this allowing you to use have the sound bar in the desired position and being able to control the TV using your remote control. hope this helps. by the way, the words in quotes came from google - they did a better job explaining it so I used their words. the rest of the description is all us!
