Microwave R1974/1875 start button is lose and therefore. When I close the door the light remains on and also the cooling fan. I have inserted a popsicle stick in just under button when door is closed and both fan and went off. Is the button my problem and is it replaceable by a lay person
I would question whether the button is the issue or the spring behind the button is the issue! replacing a button is not too bad - we do recommend looking for a video on how to replace before buying the button. these buttons are model number specific. if you look in the doorjam and send us a picture of the plate that has the model number on it - we are happy to see if the button is even available.
