I need to replace a 13.5” diameter microwave plate. I was given a model # of JVM3160DF2WW, which is identical to one you have listed except for the number 2 near the end. It’s a GE serial # MD21710A (July 2014). I suspect I have a typo in the model number I wrote down. Can you confirm my mistake?
A couple of things come to mind. First, the user manual normally uses a general model number that is not very good to use when purchasing parts. The user manual normally drops the "2" in this case which is considered a version number. JVM3160DF2WW is indeed correct. Please know that there is also a JVM3160DFWW GE's naming convention normally puts a number before the color code (WW is the color code).
Next, if you look in the doorjam of the microwave, there is normally a tag with the full model number. if you would like to send us a picture of that - we are happy to look up the correct part for you.
