My lg lint filter I broken and I do not have one and my dryer is not getting hot just cool air is that because I have no filter?
okay, so you actually have a few different issues - first, the lint filter - don't stress we can guide you through this and will simply need your model number that is in the door jam of the dryer. depending on the model number, this can be very easy or not so easy. let us know your model and let us do the research for you. Next, the dryer is not blowing hot air. your dryer has a heater - this heater heats air up for your dryer. the heater is made up of thermostats and a heating element that is encased in a medal casing. you can have a blown thermostat (there are a few of them) or the heating element can be burnt out. fixing this entails taking apart the dryer - finally, when you run a dryer with no lint filter - lint gets in the internal workings of the dryer - the internal workings have a heating element - when you replace the heating element or thermostats, be sure to have the lint cleaned out of the internal portion of the dryer. this is how I would tackle this - how mechanical are you or do you know someone that is mechanical? if you are mechanical, we can quote out the heater and lint filter.
