They have redesigned the lint filter and also the housing.

Does this fit the lg model dle3400w?
LG made a mess out of the lint filter area for your dryer. there are three different variations. may i suggest sending us a picture of your old lint filter - also, does your lint filter stick up about an inch?

sorry for the delay. this is. there are some differences. when they created this filter, they also updated the lint filter housing. this filter only works in the new housing.

so there is a why behind everything. when LG came out with the filter that you initiately inquired about. they also modified the cover (the part that has the bib on it - see the picture in the offering we recommended). so this new filter does NOT work with the old design of the cover. if you go the old filter that LG recommends - it will not sit flush. I realize all this is lousy - we get it - but we would rather be up front and transparent.
