I have the model number DLEY1201W for my LG dryer and need to replace the lint cover guide grill. This one looks similar, but the one I'm replacing has the bottom left of the grill cut away where the two long curved horizontal lines are shown on the image in this listing. That is where the moisture sensor is mounted. It's a separate part that goes there. But the product image shows molded plastic there as one solid piece. Is there one that fits around the moisture sensor?
we can help! we know your part. it was redesigned about 6 years ago to integrate the moisture sensors with the cover. many sites still show the old cover - i can assure you that the old version is NOT around. the moisture sensors have a connector on the back side that you simply unplug. the sensors are a thin flexible metal - most people give the sensors a little bend and install then on the new cover. don't forget to plug the connectors back into the sensors when reinstalling. click HERE for the correct offering.
