My refrigerator's right lower hinge of the fridge door is loose...the screw fell off and it no longer tightens. We have to lift the door to be able to close it. Would buying this changeover kit help with this situation? If so, do the necessary screws come with it ? Or do you sell a left hinge set to replace the damaged ones ?
good questions. the purpose of the changeover kit is to modify how the door opens. normally, refrigerators come with the hinges on the right hand side of the door (when looking at the refrigerator) - the changeover kit are the parts to move the hinges to the LEFT hand side of the door.
you said that the screw no longer tightens and falls off. it sounds like the screw is stripped. this does not sound like a hing issue - rather, just a screw and hole issue.
First, check your warranty to see if the appliance is still under warranty. if it is not, our suggestion is the take the screw to a hardware store and ask them to help you find one that is a little thicker. I would only change the door orientation as a last resort. if you do have to do this - send us the model number of your refrigerator as these kits do differ from model to model.
