Is this part compatible with XP-830.
yes! you will need to run a reset utility to clear the error from your printer! the following link is from Epson. so it is safe. this only works on pc. this will NOT work on apple products. https://epson.com/Support/wa00819

Will this replacement work with remote connection to computer
the waste ink assembly will work - however, resetting your printer - is a different story. Epson has a FREE reset utility that will NOT work with a remote connection. there are third party reset utilities - you would need to ask them directly. please know that we do NOT sell any reset utilities as we are not programmers.
