QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
can the following be added to the WF-7820 (1-tray) device, thereby "expanding the unit to what would have been the WF-7840"? The 7840 is $150 more expensive; and your tray is obviously half that price. A.K.A.: Will the 7820 "recognize" the 2nd tray, once installed; as did a comparable Xerox device?
Okay, I hear you communicating two different issues but am unsure what you are trying to get to.
If you simply need a tray that accommodates legal paper - your original tray should do that. Note, the original 1st tray should have a blue lever that can be depressed allowing the cassette tray to be pulled apart to fit the longer paper.
If you are trying to add another paper source - so you don't have to be constantly loading the printer with paper or just want a second tray for a different size paper: The WF-7820 is not physically capable of having an expanded paper tray.
Does that answer your question?

Do you stock the upper cassette, part no 1827728?
normally, we do not - however, we do have three that are expected to arrive tomorrow - from there our team will start to list the product to our website - this process can take a little while as they are behind. if you would like, we are happy to send you an electronic invoice so we can dispatch one of the bins when they arrive. please advise.

Does this tray support 11x17" papers? I cannot tell based on the image.
yes! in th picture, see the blue lever on the front part of the cassette (right hand side)? when this is depressed, the entire cassette can be pulled apart to extend - and accomidate large format prints.
