Is there a holder for 110 film for the V500 Photo?
here are 110 holders but good ones are hard come come by! First, none of the scanner manufacturers produce a 110 holder and supply it with with scanners. Some people make customized holders - including holders for 110 film. some of these holders sit on the scanner glass. others work in conjunction with a film holder that came with your scanner. the 110 holders - we are unable to sell you one as there are no OEM 110 holders - you will need to hit ebay. From experience, I can tell you that you will want a holder where you slide the film into the holder - as 110 film curves so you will need the holder to help flatten it out.
Next, you may find organizations that sell small stand alone scanners for 110 - they normally come with 110 holders as well. Some of these say they scan at 1080 or 20 MP. Keep in mind that they are trying to sell you their product. We have tested several of these stand alone scanners and prefer flatbed scanners - as flatbed scanners simply do a better job - we also prefer epson scanners.
If you get a flatbed scanner, we recommend 6500 DPI and scan in TIFF format. Although we dislike TIFF format - for 110s, TIFF does make a difference.
