The serial number is an Samsung internal number that they keep private. So the serial number is not something that is helpful to us. if the door jam tag is no longer readable - simply send us the measurements of your filter. we are happy to look up the correct filter for you!

I have a Samsung microwave model ME17R7021ES and I can not find the charcoal filter to replace. I've watch several videos of models similar to mine and they show it right behind the block plastic top part. I removed that piece but there is no filter or place to put it. I've cleaned the inside and the grease filter but it stills smells from burnt bacon. Is there a specific video for my exact model that shows this. I'm pretty sure that it had one originally. Thank you
On top of your microwave, there are three screws. extract the three screws to remove the vent. the filter is behind the vent. if you need instructions with pictures, reply as such. happy to send you what we have!
